Definitions & Interpretations
Key Terms Overview
In these Terms and Conditions, "Contractor" refers to PV Roofing, "Client" refers to you, the homeowner or business, and "Project" means all roofing tasks as per our scope of work. "Roofing Agreement", "Terms", and "Conditions" are used interchangeably.
Services Cover
Roofing Installation
PV Roofing provides professional installation of shingles, metal roofs, and more. Our service standards are built into this roofing agreement to ensure top-tier results.
Repairs & Maintenance
We offer standard and emergency repair services, as well as routine maintenance. These services are governed by the same Terms and Conditions, ensuring clear expectations and a high quality of service.
Customer Responsibilities
Providing Site Access
Clients must ensure safe and timely access to the worksite, as well as power, water, and necessary permits. Any delay may affect our roofing agreement timeline.
Compliance with Laws
Clients are responsible for obtaining required permissions and ensuring the roof complies with local regulations and Toronto roofing standards.
Pricing, Billing & Payment Terms
Estimate vs Final Invoice
Estimates are based on current information. Any change to materials or scope will be reflected in your final invoice under these Terms and Conditions.
Payment Schedule
A deposit is due before work begins. Balance payments are due at milestones agreed in the roofing agreement. Late payments may incur interest.
Warranty & Guarantees
Workmanship Guarantee
Our artistry guarantee is valid for a specified period post-completion. Coverage includes installation quality and proper execution.
Product Warranty
Materials such as shingles and metal roofing typically carry manufacturer warranties. PV Roofing will assist in handling valid warranty claims.
Liability & Indemnification
Limitation of Liability
Except for gross negligence or willful misconduct, our liability is capped at the total project cost. PV Roofing is not responsible for pre-existing structural issues.
Force Majeure
Unforeseen events, such as extreme weather, strikes, or government actions, may delay or relieve us from our obligations under this roofing agreement.
Termination & Cancellation
Customer Cancellation
Clients may cancel within a defined period, subject to a reasonable fee to cover initial costs, as per the roofing agreement.
PV Roofing Termination Rights
PV Roofing reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if terms are breached, including non-payment or unsafe work conditions.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Personal Data Protection
We respect your privacy. Any personal data collected is used solely for the purpose of service delivery and is governed by applicable data protection and privacy laws.
Confidential Information
We will not disclose proprietary data or business information obtained during the project without your consent.
Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Mediation & Arbitration
Any disputes regarding the Terms and Conditions or the roofing agreement will first be sought to be resolved through mediation, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.
Applicable Law (Ontario, Canada)
The laws of the Province of Ontario govern this agreement and any disputes arising from it, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
FAQs
What happens if I cancel?
You may cancel within 14 days, with costs capped at deposits made and documented expenses.
Can terms change?
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Any significant modifications will be reflected in new roofing agreements and announced at least 30 days in advance.
